Hernandez Aims Parting Shot at AC Milan as Exit Looms

Theo Hernandez, the French international who recently signed with Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia, expressed his thoughts on AC Milan’s management while saying goodbye to the club and its supporters on social media.
Last season, AC Milan finished in eighth place in Serie A, leading to significant protests from fans against the club's American owners, RedBird.
In his farewell Instagram post, the left-back who is also capable of playing in midfield, shared those sentiments.
“Milan has always been my main focus,” he stated. “Yet, sadly, everything doesn’t hinge on a single individual. The path the club has chosen and certain recent actions do not align with the values or ambitions that initially drew me here.”
Hernandez, aged 27, came to Milan in 2019 from Real Madrid and played 262 matches for the team, netting 34 goals.
“I depart after having unforgettable experiences, including winning Serie A and the Italian Super Cup, and especially after sharing the locker room with remarkable individuals,” he mentioned.
During the last season, the club saw three different coaches, and they have now appointed a fourth, Massimiliano Allegri.
He expressed gratitude to “all the coaches who believed in me,” specifically mentioning Paolo Maldini, the club's technical director until June 2023, for his support, vision, and guidance.
He also acknowledged the fans.
“The privilege of feeling your support is something I will never forget and will always cherish in my heart,” he remarked.
“I leave with great pride,” he added. “I go away with a fulfilled heart, hoping that Milan will soon reclaim its rightful place. Milan will always be a part of who I am.”
