Luis Enrique is prepared for a unique clash between PSG and Real Madrid.

Luis Enrique, the manager of Paris Saint-Germain, described the upcoming Club World Cup semi-final against Real Madrid as “special.” However, he chose not to comment on his relationship with Kylian Mbappe before facing the superstar striker again.
"Facing Real Madrid is always a unique experience," the Spanish coach stated during a press conference at MetLife Stadium, located near New York, where the match is set to occur.
"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to take part in such a significant game because it reflects our hard work so far."
PSG arrived in the U.S. for this tournament after winning the UEFA Champions League for the first time last season, which was notable due to Mbappe's transfer to Real Madrid.
Luis Enrique coached Mbappe in his last season at Paris, which was marked by tension as the French captain initially didn't play due to refusing a new contract and was later limited in playing time when he expressed his intent to leave.
"All I can state is that experiences like that belong to the past," Luis Enrique remarked.
"There are many factors that make this encounter special. This match is critical since it is a semi-final for the Club World Cup. That adds to its significance, and we must stay focused."
"We are very close to another final, and that motivates us," added the coach, who will be without defenders Willian Pacho and Lucas Hernandez, both of whom received red cards in the quarter-final victory over Bayern Munich.
While PSG aims to cap off an impressive season with additional trophies, the Club World Cup signifies a new chapter for Real Madrid under their new coach, Xabi Alonso.
"It’s challenging to evaluate Real Madrid right now since Xabi Alonso has just begun his tenure there," Luis Enrique explained, acknowledging his ties with Barcelona while also recalling his playing days at Santiago Bernabeu in the 1990s.
"For me, it's always been enjoyable to compete against Real Madrid, and that will never change. They are the most successful club globally, and Xabi has everything he needs to succeed."
Real Madrid's coach Alonso did not address the media on Tuesday due to a delay in their flight from Florida to New York caused by severe weather.
The victor of Wednesday’s semi-final will move on to the final on Sunday, where they will meet Chelsea, who triumphed over Fluminense 2-0 in Tuesday's first semi-final match.
