Eberechi Eze will pay more than £60 million to join Arsenal.

Arsenal appears ready to claim Eberechi Eze from their fierce rivals, Tottenham Hotspur, in what might become one of the boldest transfers of this summer's Premier League window, as reported on Wednesday.
Tottenham seemed set to welcome the 27-year-old Crystal Palace midfielder to their side in north London. However, due to concerns regarding Kai Havertz's knee injury, reports suggest that Arsenal could take advantage of the situation, bringing Eze—who was released by the Gunners as a child—to the Emirates Stadium.
The Athletic mentioned that Arsenal has tentatively agreed with Crystal Palace on a transfer for Eze, with financial terms close to the previous £68 million ($91 million) release clause, matching what Tottenham was willing to spend. Arsenal's pursuit intensified following Havertz's recent injury.
Havertz, who played in the latter part of Sunday’s match against Manchester United, did finish the game, but he was absent from the public training session at the Emirates on Wednesday.
Last season, Arsenal finished as runners-up behind Premier League champions Liverpool and is anticipated to compete for the title again. In contrast, Spurs, who captured the Europa League title, ended their season in a disappointing 17th place, just above the relegation zone.
Eze participated for 84 minutes during the draw against Chelsea on the weekend and trained on Wednesday before Palace's upcoming Conference League match against Fredrikstad. Coach Oliver Glasner reiterated that Eze and team captain Marc Guehi, another target for Liverpool, will both feature in the European match.
"Before the Chelsea match, many of you were likely surprised to see Marc and Ebs play almost the entire game," Glasner stated at a pre-match press conference. "You might be caught off guard again tomorrow due to the ongoing rumors. Yet, they are both dedicated."
Glasner, who previously led Palace to a penalty shootout victory against Liverpool in the Community Shield, emphasized their commitment: "They are devoted to the team, under contract here, and played an essential role in our success. They will continue to do so as long as they are part of the club. They give their all for Crystal Palace."
Guehi’s contract lasts until next year, while Eze’s agreement extends until 2027. Glasner remarked, “These rumors and noises have persisted; this isn't just a recent phenomenon but has been ongoing for weeks.”
