This appeal was made during a meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where Yusuf outlined the main priorities of his administration, emphasizing security, infrastructure development, and enhancing collaboration with the Federal Government.
This information was shared in a statement released by his spokesperson, Sanusi Bature, in Kano on Tuesday.
The closed-door meeting served to inform the president about urgent challenges and potential opportunities in Kano, especially the escalating insecurity affecting some local government areas.
Yusuf brought to Tinubu's attention the recent heartbreaking incident involving the murder of a woman and her children, underlining the urgent necessity for effective federal support to bolster security measures and ensure the safety of innocent individuals.
He underscored the importance of the Kano State Neighbourhood Watch Corps in supporting the efforts of law enforcement agencies and advocated for greater cooperation with federal security organizations.
Yusuf also addressed Kano's development plans, focusing on large-scale infrastructure initiatives.
He praised the president for the federal support concerning the Wujuwuju Road, noting that it represents a vital move towards stimulating economic development and generating employment opportunities.
Tinubu assured Yusuf that the Federal Government is prepared to collaborate with Kano State to confront insecurity and promote lasting development.
