Ekiti princess rallies support for Oyebanji’s re-election

Fagboyo, who works as a pharmacist, noted that it was the governor’s style of leadership and his accomplishments that drew her to join the All Progressives Congress and become actively involved in the political arena.
Her comments were made on Monday in Osi Ekiti during a gathering with APC leaders within the state, during which she committed herself to rallying support for Oyebanji’s bid for a second term.
The Independent National Electoral Commission has scheduled the Ekiti governorship election for June 20.
Oyebanji, representing the APC, is contending for re-election among candidates from 13 other political parties, including Wole Oluyede of the Peoples Democratic Party and Dare Bejide of the African Democratic Congress.
Fagboyo commended the governor’s record, particularly regarding infrastructure, healthcare, and education, highlighting his leadership as focused on the people’s needs.
“I commend the governor for his innovative leadership, his focus on the people, and his dedication to advancing infrastructure, healthcare, and education. The accomplishments of Governor Oyebanji in Ekiti State serve as evidence of his commitment to public service,” she remarked.
She further stated, “These qualities are what led me to the party and engage in politics. I take pride in becoming a member of the APC and dedicating my efforts to support the governor’s re-election campaign.”
In his address, Sola Elesin, the APC State Chairman, reassured the residents of Osi Ekiti about ongoing development, emphasizing the party’s unwavering dedication to implementing programs that cater to the community’s needs.
“We acknowledge the unique qualities and contributions of Osi Ekiti to the overall development of the state and we are committed to ensuring the advancement of the community,” he said.
Other party officials present at the event also expressed their support for Oyebanji’s re-election and praised Fagboyo for advocating the governor’s accomplishments.
