Qatari club, Al Ahli SC sign Troost-Ekong

Qatar Stars League team Al Ahli SC has officially announced the acquisition of former Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong.

The seasoned central defender joined the club located in Doha from the Saudi team Al Kholood and has signed a deal that will keep him with Al Ahli until June 2028.

Troost-Ekong has been assigned his desired number five shirt and is anticipated to play a significant role as the club aims to gain momentum and conclude the season on a high note.

In response to the transfer, the 32-year-old shared his enthusiasm on social media, stating: “Next Chapter! Happy to be here part of the @ahliqat family!”
