Africa Creative Market seeks to empower local talent

Taking place from September 16 to 19, 2025, at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos, this year's event is titled 'Creative Bridge.' This theme serves as a strategic initiative aimed at connecting talent with trade, showcasing Africa's creative economy on the global stage.
The Africa Creative Market (ACM) has swiftly emerged as a key player in advancing creative business across various fields, such as film, fashion, music, technology, gaming, art, photography, dance, and sports.
Inya Lawal, the Convener of Africa Creative Market and President of Ascend Studios Foundation, stated, “Creative Bridge represents more than just a theme; it lays out a vision for Africa’s creative future.”
“This year, we are purposefully linking creativity to commerce, making sure our talent has access to vital resources, funding, and networks necessary for global competition.”
Building on the success of ACM 2024, which highlighted the influence of technology on creativity in Africa, ACM 2025 will explore further, emphasizing export readiness, growth through data, investment matchmaking, and cross-border collaborations.
With a variety of activities including industry forums, investor roundtables, impactful masterclasses, and showcases, ACM 2025 aims to provide a strong platform for creators, cultural entrepreneurs, and policymakers.
The upcoming edition is expected to draw in leading international voices, buyers, and collaborators from prominent creative nations like the US, UK, UAE, Canada, and South Korea.
Ultimately, ACM seeks to empower African creators to be global participants instead of merely contributing content. The organizers emphasize that this year’s event will highlight scalable African ideas, encourage co-production agreements, and promote intellectual property development to stimulate long-term growth.
