Nollywood performer Stan Nze has expressed his views on the traits he seeks in the next Nigerian leader, emphasizing that his primary focus is identifying a candidate who can enhance the nation and prioritize the needs of its citizens.
According to News, the actor mentioned in an Instagram post that his endorsement is not influenced by ethnicity, geographical area, or personal relations, but rather on a leader’s capacity to foster development and construct a more promising future for the people of Nigeria.
Nze clarified that he is not fixated on the emergence of a specific individual as president, but desires someone who truly prioritizes the nation and has the potential to advance Nigeria through competent governance.
He pointed out that decisions made in leadership impact every Nigerian, regardless of their ethnic group or whereabouts, because the issues faced by the country are collectively experienced by all.
The actor also remarked that, judging by the current political campaign, he sees Peter Obi as the candidate who best aligns with his criteria for strong leadership.
He stated: “My sole desire is for a better Nigeria. It does not necessarily have to be Peter Obi. My search is not for someone from my ethnic group, but rather for a candidate who genuinely cares about Nigerians and is capable of advancing the country, not taking one step forward and then two steps back. Up until now, I have not encountered a candidate more suited than Peter Obi in this election. The reality is that governance impacts not just one ethnic group or region, but everyone as a whole.”
