Naija News reports that on Wednesday, Fubara declared that his conflict with his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, has been resolved and that he is ready to support the Rainbow Coalition that Wike advocated.
In a discussion on Arise Television, Ewor asserted that a misleading narrative was given to the citizens of Rivers State when the dispute between Wike and Fubara escalated.
He remarked, “Perception does not equate to reality. My understanding then contrasts sharply with what I comprehend now. At that time, the prevailing view was that Wike hindered Governor Fubara from performing his duties.
“Currently, we have come to understand that the issues plaguing the state were not due to Wike, but rather the unwillingness of Governor Sim to connect with the populace of Rivers.
“When the conflict began, it was portrayed to us that Wike was preventing the governor from executing his responsibilities; that was the narrative offered to the people of Rivers.
“However, today that narrative is different; we have come to realize that Wike was not obstructing the governor from fulfilling his role, so the information we received back then is not the same as what we now know.
“The realities presented to the citizens of Rivers previously and the realities faced by Fubara’s supporters today do not align.”
