Nigerian Afrobeats musician Seun Kuti expressed his views regarding the disagreement between Burna Boy and DJ Tunez.

Nigerian Afrobeats musician Seun Kuti expressed his views regarding the disagreement between Burna Boy and DJ Tunez.
During a livestream, Kuti mentioned that many men in Africa possess a harmful attitude towards authority.
He criticized those who choose to use violence and intimidation as means to assert control and superiority.
“Hold on, let me say something. Some individuals believe that as an African man, when someone wrongs you, you have to prove you are superior. You might gather friends or call the police to fight or to handle things this way. It doesn’t change anything, man. It really doesn’t change anything, so as for me, I’m no longer a young man. It simply... you are foolish if you still support such foolishness,” he explained.
Seun Kuti also emphasized the importance of finding different approaches to settle disputes, noting that a general lack of respect among Africans perpetuates violence.
“You are foolish if you think beating someone demonstrates your strength. You are mistaken. This mentality is why we find ourselves in trouble. This absence of respect for one another leads us to believe that we must harm an African man, insult him, and do our worst to fellow Africans. This is seriously damaging our mindset. This is seriously damaging our mindset. Do you see? I’m not interested in negative energy. Let me share what is really going on,” he added.
