Wealthy heiress and Nigerian DJ Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, best known as DJ Cuppy, has declared that she will not marry a Nigerian.
According to News, she made this statement during her appearance on a recent podcast.
During the conversation, Cuppy shared that her choice is influenced by her earlier experience with someone who seemed to care more about meeting her father than establishing a meaningful relationship with her.
She emphasized that this encounter frequently leads her to doubt the motives of men who approach her.
“I will never marry a Nigerian. That is out of the question. The last guy I was with asked when he could meet my dad. I didn't even think he had feelings for me. My dad really doesn't mind who I wed; he simply wants me to marry. This is why I feel so pleased for Temi and Eazi,” she remarked.
In another instance, DJ Cuppy has revealed insights into her dating experiences and how they have influenced her current preferences in a partner.
News mentions that she discussed this in a conversation with ZeZe Millz, where Cuppy talked about the various kinds of men she has encountered and dated over the years.
The 33-year-old mentioned her exploration of relationships with men from diverse backgrounds, including a model, a footballer, and a bus driver.
She noted that many of these interactions began through dating apps, revealing that she once spent approximately £400, equivalent to over ₦700,000, to register on one platform.
Cuppy indicated that her perspective on relationships has evolved, particularly after her younger sister, Temi Otedola, married singer Mr Eazi.
She clarified that she now seeks straightforward relationships and prefers a down-to-earth partner engaged in a regular job, avoiding social media.
“I’ve been involved with various men, but at this point, I just desire a simple man with a standard 9–5 job and who doesn't use social media. I even dated a bus driver I found on a dating app that cost me £400 to join,” she shared.
Her previous relationships have often attracted public attention. In 2022, she was briefly engaged to British boxer Ryan Taylor, but that engagement did not last long. She has also been connected to music executive Asa Asika in earlier times.
