According to DAILY POST, the film, which premiered on December 19, 2025, reached the N1 billion milestone on Monday.
In response to Toyin Abraham’s success, the Federal Government, via the Nigeria Film Corporation, referred to this new achievement as "another significant indication of advancement for the nation’s creative sector."
In a statement released by its managing director, Ali Nuhu, the Corporation remarked: “This accomplishment positions Ms. Abraham among the esteemed filmmakers whose projects have resonated culturally with viewers while also showcasing strong commercial success in a highly competitive cinema environment.
“Oversabi Aunty serves as an exemplary case of how stories rooted in local culture, when effectively produced and carefully marketed, can achieve remarkable reach and influence. The triumph of this film illustrates a profound comprehension of the Nigerian audience, a robust distribution plan, and the rising culture of cinema attendance throughout the nation.”
Additionally, in an Instagram update celebrating her success, the actress expressed her gratitude to her fans and the wider community for their unwavering support.
