Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has addressed what she considers biased treatment towards women who go to clubs, bars, and hotels without male friends.
In a post on her Instagram account, the actress urged feminists and supporters to unite with her in confronting this issue, which she claims to have faced on various occasions.
Etinosa shared that during a challenging time in her marriage, she frequently visited entertainment venues to alleviate emotional pressure but was consistently turned away by security because she was by herself.
She pointed out that this situation reveals a double standard, as men are not faced with the same limitations when they enter these establishments alone.
She questioned the reasoning behind such practices, emphasizing that not every woman out alone is partaking in questionable activities.
The actress also called on society to rethink these judgments and to treat women with equity and dignity, whether they are with male companions or alone.
