Nigerian media figure Oladotun Ojuolape Kayode, widely recognized as Do2dtun, has shared his thoughts on the dispute between directors Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele.
In a post on his X account, he emphasized the importance of recognizing genuine friendships, mentioning the necessity of establishing limits in interactions and greetings.
Do2dtun also encouraged individuals to bring the same attitudes from social media into their offline lives. He pointed out that certain people may not celebrate others’ successes online but wish to behave cordially in person.
"Prior to stepping out of your home, be aware of those you will greet and those you won’t. You genuinely know who your foes are; coworkers, casual acquaintances, and genuine friends. If you aren’t sure, then manage it like you handle your social media behaviors. Follow those you respect, appreciate those you enjoy, and block those you don’t. Implement that in your daily life. People need to grasp that when we ignore each other, life continues without pause. It is never-ending. We often fail to recognize our achievements or applaud one another, even when it’s appropriate, so why should there be greetings in person?” he stated.
