In an emotional post shared on his Instagram during the late hours of Wednesday, Davido conveyed that his heart goes out to the abducted girls and their loved ones, emphasizing that no family should have to endure such suffering.
“I feel deep sorrow for the young girls taken in Kebbi State and their families. No one should go through this anguish,” he remarked.
The artist urged citizens of Nigeria to come together and persist in their efforts to build a nation where every child can grow up in safety and with hope.
“As a nation, we must unite and continue striving for a land where every child can flourish in a secure and hopeful environment,” Davido stated.
He characterized the assault on the church in Kwara as devastating, offering prayers for the families mourning their losses and for all those impacted by the tragic event, insisting that such violence should never be regarded as commonplace.
“I am also incredibly saddened by the devastating incident at the church in Kwara State. I pray for the families mourning their losses and for all those affected by this tragic occurrence. We must never allow these acts of violence to become our standard,” he expressed.
The singer urged for more robust efforts to ensure the safe return of the girls from Kebbi and appealed to anyone with credible information to step forward through safe and responsible means to assist ongoing rescue efforts.
Davido concluded his message with prayers for the safe return of the kidnapped children and for comfort for the grieving families in Kwara. He also sought peace for Nigeria and called for accountability for those funding violence and unrest.
The events in Kebbi and Kwara have raised alarm across the nation, with numerous Nigerians calling for enhanced security measures to safeguard citizens.
