Controversial Nigerian social media personality, Blessing Okoro Nkiruka, who is widely known as Blessing CEO, has made her way back to Instagram after a brief period of deactivating her account due to criticism surrounding her assertion of experiencing stage four breast cancer.
A review of her profile indicates that she has removed all content related to the cancer claim, including interviews and posts that were previously made to bolster her assertion.
The only item still visible on her account is a post styled like a documentary that focuses on breast health awareness.
The issue started in January when the influencer revealed that she had been diagnosed with stage four breast cancer and sought financial help.
She supported her allegation with what she referred to as a medical report. Nonetheless, Xinus Medical Diagnostics challenged the legitimacy of this document, claiming it had been tampered with.
The center clarified that the authentic report belonged to Deborah Mbara and was issued in May 2025.
Mbara, a makeup artist and a cancer survivor, later accused Blessing CEO of utilizing her medical report without permission.
This situation incited fury and raised doubts regarding the validity of the fundraising request.
In light of the accusations, Mbara’s family lodged a complaint with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), alleging the influencer of cyberbullying, forgery, and operating a deceptive fundraising initiative.
The complaint stated that over ₦300 million was collected from the public under misleading circumstances.
The Nigerian Cancer Society also demanded a comprehensive inquiry, urging officials to ensure those responsible are held accountable.
Blessing CEO had disabled her Instagram account soon after the controversy intensified, but she has now returned to the social media platform.
At the time of this report, she has not yet made any public comments regarding the allegations since her return.
