Actress Bimbo Ademoye decries copyright claim on YouTube film, issues ultimatum
Nollywood actress and director, Bimbo Ademoye, has voiced her concerns regarding a copyright dispute linked to her YouTube film Where Love Lives, stating that this issue has resulted in the film being demonetized on the site.

Nollywood actress and director, Bimbo Ademoye, has voiced her concerns regarding a copyright dispute linked to her YouTube film Where Love Lives, stating that this issue has resulted in the film being demonetized on the site.
Ademoye accused a person named Emmanuel Davies of making a false claim to ownership for a song featured in the movie, despite her insistence that she has complete rights to the music.
The actress went on to say that the same person has uploaded the track to Spotify and other music platforms, identifying himself as the creator.
Released in December 2025, Where Love Lives has garnered more than 18 million views on YouTube.
In a series of updates on her Instagram account on Saturday, Ademoye shared her disappointment over this matter and set a deadline, demanding the immediate removal of the copyright claim.
“Emmanuel, you have one hour to remove that copyright from my film. I entirely own the rights to that song, yet you took it, uploaded it, called yourself the composer, and prevented me from earning money from my own hard work,” she stated.
Additionally, she cautioned that there would be repercussions if the situation is not addressed, urging anyone who knows the individual or connected platforms to take action.
The actress remarked that this was not her first encounter with copyright issues, mentioning that she is also in the midst of pursuing another person regarding a related matter.
She said, “Emmanuel Davies!, YOU HAVE 1 HOUR. I could place a bounty on your head, and when I find you, you'll regret your actions. First Anwuli (who I’m still pursuing, now this) anyone who knows lagos sound/emmanuel Davies should give him a warning now! Before I deal with this MY OWN WAY!”.
At the time of this report, there had been no public reply from the accused party concerning the claims made against them.
