VFD Group Plc, an investment firm based in Lagos, has declared the complete repayment of its ₦4.24 billion Series 4 Commercial Paper (CP) which was issued in December 2024.
This achievement, part of the Group's ₦20 billion CP initiative registered in 2022, enhances its performance in the first half of 2025, which reported ₦41.17 billion in gross revenue and total assets amounting to ₦356.87 billion.
In an announcement, the company conveyed its appreciation to investors, shareholders, and market collaborators for their ongoing confidence, noting that the program has consistently experienced oversubscription since its launch.
“The market environment has been supportive for companies that have engaged with it and are adding value to the Nigerian economy,” remarked Mr. Nonso Okpala, Group Managing Director and CEO of VFD Group.
He continued: “The redemption of this Series 4 issuance confirms that there is serious market interest in providing debt financing. This successful completion of our obligation enables us to keep generating and unlocking value for our shareholders and investors through our global expansion strategy.”
Mr. Folajimi Adeleye, the Group’s Executive Director for Finance and Investor Relations, commented, “The prompt repayment of this commercial paper stems from effective liquidity management throughout the firm. This initiative has allowed us to meet immediate operational requirements while maintaining capital strength for our long-term objectives. Series 4 continues this positive trend, positioning us favorably as we implement our growth strategy.”
Since the establishment of the ₦20 billion program in 2022, VFD Group has successfully carried out several issuances and repayments, maintaining its reputation as a reliable market participant.
