Experts’ line-up for gas investment forum

The Gas Investment Forum (GIF) in 2025 will act as a key venue for important discussions about Nigeria's gas monetization plans and efforts to industrialize through energy.
Notable speakers for this edition include Ms. Olubukola Arowolo Verheijen, who is the Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Energy; Ed Ubong, who leads the Decade of Gas Secretariat; NJ Ayuk, the Executive Chairman of the African Energy Chamber (AEC); Akachukwu Nwokedi, the President of the Nigeria Gas Association; and Engr. Wole Ogunsanya, the Chairman of the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN).
They will be joined by other influential figures in the energy sector, such as Andrea Stegher, President of the International Gas Union (IGU); Dr. David Oluseyi Ige, Non-Executive Director at NNPC Limited and CEO of GasInvest Ltd; Dr. Abiodun Ogunjobi, Group Chief Technical Officer of Panocean Newcross Group; Eyono Fatayi-Williams, President of the Women in Energy Network; Damilola Owolabi-Osinusi, CEO of Selai Gas Station Ltd; Oga Adejo-Ogiri, Executive Secretary of the Association of Local Distributors of Gas (ALDG), among others.
Osaze Isesele, the Event Director, emphasized that this will be the third edition of the Forum, which has established itself as a significant platform for discussions focused on Nigeria’s gas monetization and energy-driven industrialization.
He also mentioned that the event has the backing of the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources and is co-hosted by the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC). This provides a reliable space for both decision-makers and private industry participants to engage with Nigeria's "Decade of Gas" policy.
As the Chief Host, Ms. Olubukola Arowolo Verheijen will present the keynote speech. Her role in the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Energy (OSAE) has been vital in promoting meaningful reforms in Nigeria’s oil, gas, and power sectors, supporting President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.
