2027: Peter Obi Will Lose Many Of The Places He Won In 2023 – Naja’atu Muhammad
Deputy National Chairman for the North-West of the African Democratic Congress, Hajiya Naja’atu Muhammad, has forecasted that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar will hold an edge over President Bola Tinubu in the upcoming presidential election of 2027.

Deputy National Chairman for the North-West of the African Democratic Congress, Hajiya Naja’atu Muhammad, has forecasted that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar will hold an edge over President Bola Tinubu in the upcoming presidential election of 2027.
Naja’atu conveyed her predictions in a discussion with DCL English, expressing her opinions about the likely results of the next election and the prospects for key opposition leaders.
News notes that she remarked Peter Obi, who is the presidential candidate for the Nigeria Democratic Congress, might face challenges in replicating his earlier achievements in various states where he had significant support during the last election.
She indicated that Obi’s prospects in Lagos State might be adversely impacted, suggesting he may not garner the same level of support he experienced there in 2023.
Additionally, she commented that the former governor of Anambra might encounter obstacles in the South-South area due to the influence of former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike.
Naja’atu further observed that Obi might not receive the anticipated number of votes in the South-East because of the presence of governors affiliated with the All Progressives Congress.
She noted that his level of backing in the northern regions could also diminish in the next election cycle.
She contended that the political dynamics across various regions could complicate Obi’s efforts to sustain the progress he achieved in the last presidential election.
Naja’atu stated, “Peter Obi is likely to lose several of the regions he previously won, including Lagos. There are many places where his success is unlikely because, for example, in the South-South, Wike’s influence will hinder his achievements, and in the South-East, there are strong APC governors who will limit his vote count.”
