Renowned Nigerian Zion Gospel artist, Lekan Remilekun, has disclosed that his father has been unaccounted for the past 26 years.
Remilekun shared this information in a recent conversation on the Talk to B podcast.
While recounting the details of his father, Remilekun Amos, a celebrated gospel performer, going missing, he stated that his father vanished in November 2000 when he was summoned to Akure, the capital of Ondo State, for a ministry event.
In a sorrowful video, the artist conveyed his grief, mentioning that his children have been prompting him to share stories about their grandfather.
“My father, Remilekun Amos, was reported missing following that missionary trip in November 2000, and that marked the end.
“He received an invitation to Akure. There is an adage in Yoruba that says 'omo eni ku, o San ju omo eni sonu lo,' which translates to (a deceased child is preferable to one that is missing). It's been 26 years now. My children continually ask me about their grandpa. No one can understand the anguish better than the person suffering, which is me,” he expressed.
